This is a prototype I have been working on for some time. My goal was to try to bring together a number of my favorite designs aspect from choppers and large fighters in a functional working knife. Let me know what you think. This will be sent off for some independent testing soon so you may see this later.

Blade: Brutal tough CPM 3V with a Paul Bos heat treat to +/-59 Rockwell and flat grinds top and bottom. 12-1/8" blade edge ,18-1/8" overall and 0.202 thick.

Handle: Linen Micarta with stainless hidden corby bolts, tube and peened pins at the guard. There is also a bonk/glass braker with recessed thong hole.

Thanks for looking!

Just a note for those who might care these pics and close-ups are taken AFTER chopping through the pumpkin and twice through a 2x4”.

Here is some quick testing I did yesterday. Not really the ideal spot but I had to try it out. Thanks to my wife for helping with the pics and I have to say my daughter really got a kick out of this...do it again, do it again was her response. I have to agree, can't wait to get this in the woods!

Very nice and clean design. 3V is a awesome choice of steel. I made something very similar in CPM-M4 called the Tigress. To me they are both essentially the same knife. Just different interpretations.

Wow... That looks like a really fun knife/sword. Great job! I can understand you wanting to use it right away.

That's a very nice looking "monster" blade. I'd love to get a chance to handle it, looks like it would be a ton of fun in a pumpkin patch :D. Good choice on 3V.

That is a beast. Nice Blade! Hummm! whats that all wrapped up sitting on the wall????

This has many excellent features from, the choice of steel to the best heat treat on down. Personally for fighting purposes I'd like the forward top edge sharp. Love it!

That is a sand bag wrapped in an old tarp. I have two dogs who often occupy the back of my truck and tend to make a huge mess out of a sand bag by the end of the year if it is not seriously wrapped up.;)

Thank you all for the comments they are much appreciated. I will be making more of this model, and the same blade with an alternate handle as well. Top edge sharp is not a problem. :D

Cordially,
Eric
