recurve folders?

I am looking for a nice beefy recurve folder. I've seen Neil Blackwood's amazing work, but I'm looking for a maker who is currently taking orders, even if it's a long wait. :)
Who would you recommend?
I have a David Mosier Instigator 2, which isn't so much recurved as designed with a forward angle. I like this as well, but I want a nice with a true recurve belly.

I'm not sure how beefy you like 'em, but RJ Martin does some real nice recurve folders. And he makes them awfully sharp (in fact, as I type this, my thumb is bleeding from a little kiss from my Q40). The Q40, by the way, can be seen in this thread, in a picture posted by Boink. The blade is 4" and OAL is 8 3/4"

Another vote for R.J. Martin folders. I have both a Q30 and a Q40, and love them both. Both are recurve, and wickedly sharp.

Thanks for pointing be back at DDR... I completely forgot the EDC folder. I've asked him for a quote on one. As much as I'd like wooden slabs, his pale blue titanium handles look very aesthetic as well as functional.
I was also looking at the JW Smith Mini Scimitars.
Very nice.

This is a Mike Obenauf beefy framelock. I had him do a recurve on the blade. I am a recurve freak. :D He did a great job on it. Please forgive the crappy pic.

3rd vote for an RJ Martin folder.

My S30V Q40 @ Rc60 is a gem, and built VERY solidly. Great lockup. Extremely sharp when new. I'm confident in his heat treat.

They are delivered about as sharp as any maker can make them... and once used and dulled, the sad part is that you are unlikely to be able to ever match the super refined, super jumpin' shavin' edge of the original. And that is a bit sad. :(

You guys game him some tough choices. It would be hard to go wrong with any of those suggestions.

Let me add another name to the mix, Rick Hinderer. A couple of months ago I talked him into designing a recurve blade for his Firetac. Won't get it till probably next week, but if its anywhere near the quality and functionality of his other knives, it'll definitely be a huge winner. I'll post pictures when I get it!

I owned a Q-30 for a while - great entry level, using knife. Really wicked sharp recurve and very beefy build quality. RJ does it right on these.

The RJ Martins and the JW Smiths both look great. I'll look into them. As for now, I called Darrel Ralph and went with an EDC Dominator, pale blue anodized titanium scales with filework, D2 blade. I have 2 S30V blades (sebenza and David Mosier) and like them, but want to diversify a little ;)
I also ordered a Madd Maxx II, satin finished and then given the Black Diamond-Like Coating, and pearl inlays. Should be a nice black and white gent's knife. Pics will come when they arrive.
