I think recurve makes a knife look sexy and i've never seen any drawbacks on the way it cuts.

I recently bought a recurved knife and have only one concern - is there a different way you have to sharpen it?

How would you sharpen a recurved knife? I use a crock stick type set up for sharpening rather than a flat stone.

Thats probably one of the best systems for recurves.

I just use the sharpmaker like any other knife. Works fine on the triangle points, flat sides don't work too well. Turn-wheel system by lansky is just about perfect, cheap too:thumbup:.

edge pro or freehand using the corner of my stones wich are chamfered. anyways it will be waaaaay slower than sharpening a straight edge.
