After a long time trying to figure out what sheath to make for this knife this is what I made.

Not quite done yet  , still needs a Damasteel stud for the "keeperstrap". Should have one ready sooner or later...
Should match well with the stamped Damasteel "sheild" on the sheath.

The wood in the knife is Stabilized spalted Swedish white beam and ebony, with a forged damasteel tail.

Magnus, both the knife and sheath have left me speechless!!:D:eek: Any word that I can come up to describe the how incredible they are, all seem sorely inadequate!! WOW!!! WOW!! WOW!!

That's a beautiful knife. I love the grain on the handle. What a showpiece! The sheath is the perfect compliment as well.

Magnus, I have got to say that handle alone is absolutely incredible, and the whole package is unbelievible.

Did you make the knife yourself or did you buy it from a Custom maker? If so who it definately is terrific work

It would be hard to imagine a more perfect match, knife to sheath, but beyond that the level of expertise in both pieces is beyond my ability to express in mere words. WOW!!! comes to mind. You are double barrel MASTER.

Work of Art is right. That is absolutely awesome! Pictures are pretty good too.

Thanks for showing them.

My favorite details are the guards. I like how they're carved out of the handle material, rather than seperate metal pieces. The only other place I've seen something similar is on certain bark river knives that have micarta guards.

I like the sheath cut-out which shows the beautiful steel and filework.

Not too sure about the grooves in the ebony, or the rear notch where the straight end of the tail sticks out. They might make more sense to me if I actually saw and held the blade, though.

Overall, great work. Thanks for the pictures!

Thank you all so much for your comments, I appreciate them all very much!

quick2cut, this knife was made entirely by me, with the exception of the damascus, which I did not forge. I only recently started to do stockremoval blades and I enjoy it very much. Forging is unfortunately out of the question for me at the moment, perhaps in the future, when/if I get a new house with better possibilities...

Thanks again guys!

Regards
/Magnus
