Im looking at buying the Kershaw Blur. I was wondering if the shape of the blade was as easy to sharpen with a stone as a regular drop point or a spear shape? I don't want to buy a knife that im not going to be able to sharpen easily. Thanks for any help.

The combo edge is pretty easy to sharpen on a stone. The plain edge is more difficult but not too hard, just takes a little practice.

You'll need to use rods instead of flat stones. That's why I avoid recurves.

My fallback method of sharpening recurves is a wooden dowel, choose an appropriate diameter of your choice, and crocus clothe of various grits/mesh.

You can also lay on some leather and use the set-up for stropping.

I use Sharpening steel + cardboard for stropping.
When the edge is really dull, I use diamond sharpening rod (any brand will do) + stropping with cardboard.

Not too hard, but you do need practice.
