You learn something new every day. I was out in the yard earlier and I saw what looked like a box elder bug crawling on my log pile. I looked closer and noticed that it was not a box elder bug, but that it looked more like a stink bug (my favorite ). So I caught it in a paper cup. I looked it up and found out that it was a stink bug, a black and red one. I only knew about the green and brown ones. I've never seen a black and red one before. My camera's not working so I didn't get a picture. I did find this picture, it's similar to the one I saw:

In west Texas the only stink bug i have ever found is solid black. maybe this is the "brown" one but in just about any light they had no other shades to them.

We had bugs like that in Mexico called chumiles (a stink bug as well but it had more red) that we ate alive with beans/tortillas. It was definitely interesting. Thanks for your picture, it brought back some disgusting memories! :D
