red and blue Alox goodness

Don't think goodness is proper word, but it pretty much describes my new Alox swiss army knives, that arrived today.

Pic of my collection, so far I only own Alox SAK's. Missing is a silver alox barleycorn (classic)

pic of my first leatherman, smaller than I thought, would be good for EDC and ultralighters.

I'd like to get a couple more Alox SAK's like another red Farmer, and perhaps a few different colour variations of classic SAK, and a few non-alox SAK's, but by then I think I'll be done. Of course I heard news of a black Alox Farmer, so when that comes out, its definately on my list to get.

Looks like you alox knives need more pocket time. They all look Brand new!

Yep, they are all brand new except for the black pioneer with the lanyard, and the alox pioneer harvester).

And I the black pioneer is only about 4 months old, so its only spent about 4 months in my pocket.

What would be the best way to give it some character? Its not in its own pocket, shares it with coins, or mobile of whatever, but all thats done is only make a few tiny marks.
 
Carry it for about a decade? :)

My sister has a Red Alox pioneer that my Dad carried for probably 20 years. It looks more pink now...
 
Great knives!

The best way to give it some character is by carrying and using it. It takes some time before it gets its character, but eventually it well get it. I carried my red alox Pioneer for a month in the left front pocket of my jeans, together with a Fenix LD10 flashlight. There a few tiny marks on it, it really takes much more time than just a few months. Be patient and use your SAKs well. :)
 
Superb collections!! i love alox saks... right now i EDC a soldier alox... my collections are red and silver farmers, soldiers, and some classic alox in different collor... no cadet ever imported here, those would be my EDC choice for sure!!!

congrats on your collections... may it grow larger hehehe...
 
I really love the Alox versions, but have only one so far. Gonna try to get a few more in different colors and patterns.
 
Thanks for the replies. I had wanted a soldier, and I may still get one, but they are basically a pioneer with no keyring, and I do like to have a lanyard on them.

But I may still get one, but the SAK I'm waiting for is the black alox farmer, if it comes out, it will be great.
 
Nice collection you have there. All of mine are in silver except for a blue farmer. The pioneer has to be next... now to decide which if I like the black or red better. Of the two, which do you prefer?
 
Thanks, thats a hard one, I think overall I like the black alox one better, but I might start carrying the red one, just to mix it up a bit, and put some wear on both. But I got to say, I do prefer the pioneer for the city, as I find I don't need a saw.

I mainly bought a second black pioneer and blue farmer, incase I lose them.

But yeah, I think either colour is good, and with some use and time, will look even better.
 
Great collection - I've been haunting gun shows - here! There are couple folks selling what I assume are TSA confiscations - Two weeks ago I picked up two alox classics in silver - and a pioneer alox in black - but the guy had others too - I just ran out of money at that point! Next gun show I'll plan better!
