Red Locktite looks like rust?

So I when I put some tuf-glide on my Spyderco Tenacious the excess poured out with a rust color - the rust colored liquid made me think the knife had rusted, so when I tried to take it apart, only the pivot and one screw worked, as well as the pocket clip - all the rest have those tubes that just spin and I cannot get them undone.
The screws that did come out have rust colored stuff on them but I cannot find ANY rust on any of the blade or liner. When I removed the rust colored stuff from the screws the black oxide underneath it was in perfect condition, leading me to think that it was actually Red Loctite Threadlocker

I could use some advice getting these screws out as well as a second opinion on if that is rust or not.

Red Loc-tite requires heat to remove it. You will have to heat the parts to 500F.

Use a soldering iron with small tip, focus heat into the torx head socket and the red Loc-tite will release.

I've heard this trick - how to I avoid damage to the G10? Can I insulate it somehow, holding it on just a second didn't work and I'm scared I might burn my knife.
