So this one had some lace wood on her and I thought that it needed some shaping, so I shaped. Then I thought to my self a hand rub to would look nice, so I rubbed. Now I look at the flats and not so nice with this new finish on the hollows. So off with the lacewood(it was really tough even after grinding the pins flat). Now the flats look better but I bunged up the hollows and this goes back and forth for a while. I need to hand rub alittle more to really get the hang of it. After I cleaned up the Mallee it seems to be kind of dull. I think I'll add some wax and see if that makes a difference any suggestions? I'll take any advice you guys wouldlike to give on hand rubbing as well.

So how about some pictures..

"any suggestions?"

Just send it to me and start over?

If you make it too nice no one will want to use it and take the risk of scratching it up. How thick is that? It looks nice and stout.

I think it's a beaut. I wouldn't change a thing. It looks like a knife that is to be used... what more could you ask for?

Some woods are very porous and don't seem to take as nice a shine as others. This handle looks great just the way it is.

What I like best is the layout of the pin's the grinds are very nice it looks ready to go to work. that same knife with a tapper tang might be a bit lighter and move faster. Nice job.
