So I'm perusing my local Home Depot when I spy a small display on a random counter. In a blister pack is this:

I usually carry a Sodbuster Jr. in my travels but sometimes it would be nice to have something that doesn't feel like a fresh roll of nickels slapping me in the leg. I looked up the manufacturer (Red River Cutlery from Tennessee, score one for Home Depot) but I can't find any reviews on either the manufacturer or their knives in general. Here are the specs on the knife in question.

HANDLE MATERIAL: Steel/7MM Realtree Coated

Does anyone own any Red River knives and, if so, how have they held up for you?
 
I'm pretty sure "Red River Cutlery" is a brand only, not a manufacturer. The knives are probably built in any of several Asian factories to sell at a certain price point, usually low.
 
And here I secretly hoped Homey D was slowly coming back to US made products. Better I skip the ten spot they were asking for and keep looking.
 
Not sure what you're interested in spending, but the SOG Access Card 2.0 is a great "credit card" knife. Excellent quality, made in Seki City and runs about $79.00.

Wenger did some Swiss Army Knives in Realtree camo, if it's the camo that interests you. They had blaze orange, snow, and hardwoods camo products. Wenger is made in Switzerland and very good quality, in fact they are part of Victorinox now and the Wenger name is being dropped - so you might be able to get one at a good closeout price.
