Red Ryder utility knife

Has anyone seen or heard of a Red Ryder knife? I received one as a gift .I think it's like a beginners knife for ayoung person.I received it from my son & I like it very much.It has everything you need A saw, canopener,screwdriver,sissors you name it it's all there.

So why the angry face?

There were quite a few Red Ryder knives. Red Ryder was one of those TV cowboy heros. I have seen a multi blade and single blade folder, and a fixed blade. They are not high quality knives. Some people collect knives like this and in really good shape they are worth quite a bit more than when they were new.

Being that your son gave this knife to you, it will make a great keepsake.

I havent seen one like the one your describing. I do have an older one thats a barlow.

Hi,

I remember these, S.M.K.W. stocked them, and a few others about 10yrs. back. There was a S.A.K./Scout pattern, a fixed blade, various other jacks, and picture handled knives.

They looked to be the work of one of the Rhode Island firms, Imperial, or Colonial.
