Hi Gang- Jason Wilder made this JSB for me and I really like it.
We went with 440C. 3" chisel ground blade, hand rubbed and a 3 1/4" handle in Red G10. That little handle hole is just right for the foil grip.
The sheath is fold-over Kydex. The HD7 is here for size comparison.
Sorry about the pic.
Thanks!

Thank you, Jason!

You welcome, Rolf!
Can your finger hold through that hole in the handle?

Ben- Yes but the handle is thicker than I wanted it to be. The foil grip feels best.
Thanks.

Thanks for dropping by, Daniel!
My tanto from you is still on it's Shrine.

Just found this. Thanks for the kind words.

Rolf, if you want to send it back I can thin the handles for you.

Thank you, Jason but she stay as-is.
btw, toshi means, smasher, fwiw. Is that correct, STeven?

Hi Rolf......"Toshi" in a general context can mean "mirror image" or "wise"....in the context you are referring to it would be "Yoroi Toshi" which means Armor(yoroi) Piercer(Toshi)....so it means "piercer".

A smasher as an implement would be a boshi. As in Tetsuboshi, which I want so bad it's crazy!!

They are Japanese war clubs, and they were truly fearsome implements on the battlefield.

The ribbed one with the ring is my all time favorite

Thanks Rolf. I ordered a modern version in purple heart, 48" long.

We will see how it turns out!

Update:
I took Jason up on his offer to thin the handle scales and he did a great job. I like it much better! Nice and slim and grippy.
Pic, as soon as I get this one back from David Sun.
