The Red Warrior line is an old old line of axes that has seen a change of hands like many axe lines before or at the same time of it. Red Warrior was old line, and like any other line the name was a marketing aspect in the competition time of the axes when they were at their peak. It is an old name with much respect.

Here are a couple - lets see what you guys have!!

and i guess i didnt take a pic of the single bit. Will upload later.

Thanks!!

I added photos of this one a few weeks ago, but this seems like a good place to have it displayed. 4 lb double bit with 36" hickory handle. It was painted by the previous owner. I spent months trying to decide whether to strip the paint off. When I put the banana grind on it, I could see that it has a nice patina under the paint.

I'm pretty proud of this Western pattern Red Warrior. I haven't cut with it yet because I'm starting to like the looks of the red paint.

Has anybody ever had an axe head powder coated? I think they have to heat the metal up some. Not sure if this would mess with the temper. Powder coating is supposed to be a lot tougher coating.
