Does anyone have any experience with Redback work boots?
I'm thinking about getting a pair and would like some feedback.
I drive a delivery truck and work in a store also.
Thanks in advance for your help

They are okay, nothing special. They are a common mid-tier brand here in Australia. I'd say that if they are priced in line with other boots which would last about a year, then they will be alright, but they are not a premium boot in any way. I've had a couple of pairs over the past decade or so. Not my fave, not the worst.

I have a couple pair they easily outlast romeos but are more money. The soles last I work in a shop with sand in the epoxy coating to stop slips. IMHO they are very good boots for the price but not serviceable.

I've heard the soles on blundstones and red backs can just deteriorate sitting in a closet.
Plus they are not properly constructed like a real boot, there's no welt so they are pretty much a disposable shoe.
The right cobbler can resole them but it's never very easy to resole something with a cemented construction thats not meant to be repaired, and it's generally just not worth it considering the lower cost of cemented footwear.

If I was in the market for a Chelsea boot i would go with redwing, their Chelsea boot is properly constructed and made to be resoled.
With the Goodyear welt it'll be as simple as peeling the old sole off and gluing on a new one.

Any foam-based mid-sole shoe can just degrade without warning. so that covers most shoes to a large degree. I'm pretty sure that both pairs of redbacks (one elastic side, one laced) I've owned were steel caps, not that it matters much to the topic. As I said, serviceable if you can get them for a good price, not worth a premium.

I love mine and they seem to holding up very well. Very comfortable for standing or walking. From my research (not experience) much better boot and value than Blundstones.
