Put some stabilized Maple burl scales on I made. Got the wood from fellow member Grapevine.

That looks awesome. I was just farting around with the 11 last night. Of course, the tube and pins weren't placed correctly according to the holes in the handle, but, what the hell, it's just a rendering:

Very nice work. Amazing how close they are to dubz' doodlings.
Just curious - do you have hidden pins in there, or just epoxy?

Warrior, I'm going to get some other exotic wood got my BK9 and pin it.

Sweet deal. I bought some cool wooden scales from Skystorm. They're California buckeye burl. Freakin sweet. Need to strip my 2.

I want to see those - I just made my own from the same stuff, but after I cut 'em they were too small for a Tweener so I stuck 'em on an EnZo Trapper. Should get pics up next week. I like the wood - lots of cool colors, and the dark greys/blues will go well with some aged carbon steel.

Great work non those scales, love the grain of that burl.

Warrior, those scales are sweet too.
I have to get my hands on some exotic hardwood for my BK2. I was going to go with Micarta but hardwood would be much cheaper and more unique.
Thanks for sharing the pictures guys.

Those are really sweet. Here's my trapper:

c'ninja - sorry if I'm hijacking your thread. It was such a good start, I thought it fitting to continue the conversation. If you want me to pull 'em, just let me know.

hey camoninja- Hello from Pineville NC, I am about 20 minutes away from Rock Hill! Glad to see another Beckerhead who is is the same area. We also had very similar ideas on what wood type would look awesome on a BK-11: Take a look!becker 1.jpgbecker2.jpg
