Hey guys. As you know, I have given up on my Wave. It's edges are just too sharp, and I have gotten too many blood blisters from it to want to edc it. I started carrying my Blast, but the handles just flex too much for my tastes, even when the pliers are engaged. I don't feel safe using it too much. So I was left with out a multi, which in a way was cool, since I am trying to minimalize my life right now. However, rummaging through my stuff, I found my Leatherman Sideclip. HOLY CRAP!!! I forgot all about it!! This is perfect for me right now. Small, tough tool, smooth edges (except when the pliers are engaged, but for some reason not as sharp or painful as the original PST), and barebones. Just a knife blade, pliers, can/bottle opener and some screwdrivers. I went and filed down the smallest screwdriver so that mine now also has an awl. I clips in my pocket, so I don't have to carry a sheath on my belt, and it goes pretty much unnoticed til I need it. If I want, it can go IN the pocket, and it so thin that it is extremely pocket friendly. No locks on any blades, but whatever. I'm used to carrying a slippie pocketknife anyway, so it's not really an issue. This little tank of a tool was one of my favorites, but it went by the wayside. Now it is back, and I am on cloud nine. The benefits of a multitool AND a pocketknife in one convenient package. I really wish it was still an ative model, but, of well. I love the Sideclip.

Yep, have on a foot away here as I type. A great tool that didn't seem to catch on. One of the little features I like is the flat side on one side of the pliers jaws.

I spent a few hours on my surge for the reasons you speak of. I used a dremel to knock down all the edges adn then polished it out. Worked great.

I had thought about doing that to my Wave but....... uh...... I just never got around to doing it I guess.
