So here is the rescaled Willow blade. I used Macadamian Nut wood, its really cool. Kinda looks like reptile scales. Its a cross between Sycamore and Sheoak if you have ever seen either of those. I made this one for medium sized hands but it fits mine fine and I have larger than average hands. I still have a little of detail work like sharpening and another coat of oil but it will be done tomorrow. I figured I would give you guys first shot and than it will go up on the main exchange.

I'll so take this! I'll email you

Look at you VM, & it's not even 4:30am in the morning . . . . :D
Man, KFU is getting like BA, post a knife for sale, 7 minutes later it's history . . .
Nice score, Vick, and that sheath is unbelievable. Post some shots when you get it with some dust and wood chips all over it . . .
Good going.
Be safe.

Thanks Vickmacky! This one should make a killer slicer. I ground it thin so watch out! Don't wanna cut your finger off.

I'm liking the looks of that willow blade more and more every time I look at it! Sort of reminds me of a 'muk, but straighter...does that make sense? Anyway, I'm kinda hoping these will be part of your regular line up. One of them just may end up on my belt someday!

Thanks Mikey J! They will be a part of my lineup for sure. I too was kind of ho hum about the blade shape. I looked at it for awhile and decided its because you can't really have a straight or slightly curved handle at the top. It is unconventional compared to most knives made. The cool thing when handling it is you have a natural thumbrest. Nothing too pronounced, more subtle, but its comfortable. It has a great tip for drilling and a nice belly for power cuts. It gave me fits with the designing but it was fun to make.

This one is 1/8". In fact all mine will be that or 5 /32 on longer bladed knives.

:D oh yea. I just happen to stumble in at the right time. When I clicked the link there had only been 3 other views and I knew if I wanted it I would have to strike fast! And yes that sheath looks amazing. It's an unbelievable bargain and I'm glad I'll own Okee of KFU's and Bill's knives. Pics will come for sure.
