Well i got around to actualy grinding and finishing this billet that i got from Phillip Patton quite a while ago.
The blade is ground from just under 1/4" 1084/15N20 and is 6 5/8" to the guard with through tang const..
It has a stabilized redwood burl handle and copper fittings.
I'm not sure if i should call it a fighter or a bowie that's why i'm asking you folks!
Thanks for looking and your comments.

Call it a Fighter Bowie, or whatever you want. Just call it very nice. :)

It is a beautiful knife! May I ask how you finished the redwood burl handle? What if any stain, sealer, etc,

Thanks for the kind words fellows!
Phil the redwood was stabilized profesionaly when i bought it i just sanded to 600 grit after shaping and cleaned it up with a quick wipe with acetone. No
sealer or stain was applied.

rub it down with Ren Wax and buff it off lightly with a soft cotton cloth and see what it looks like then. :)
