hey Everyone!
here is the second knife i have finished recently. I made this damascus out of Aldo's 1084 and 15n20. it was originally going to be a full tang knife, but i no kidding sneezed while grinding one of the plunges, and it became a "hybrid" with soldered copper collar. it is avery light, fast knife that feels goo in your hands, and is razor sharp, but because of the convex grind the edge is pretty robust.

OAL: 13"
Blade length (including Collar) 8"
Blade material: 32 layers of 1084 and 15n20
Handle material: Stabilized redwood burl
Wrought iron guard, and brass pin

If i can find someone who will let me pay for half their table at Blade show, i will have this piece with me there. Otherwise, it will be going up for sale.

I would really appreciate your comments and critiques.

thanks for looking

I like the look of the collar. That's great that you turned a mistake into something that looks deliberately innovative.

this knife, I LOVE! Must be its hybrid-ness:) The collar is very cool. As is almost everything else about this knife:thumbup:
