nice little 9 inch fighter in cru forge V (8.5 edge and 9.25 to the guard i ll spit the difference )ground slightly hollow as i used a platen thats shaped like a part of a 48" wheel i hand sanded to 600 grit
5.25 inch handle over all right about 15 inch
the guard is SS as is the pin and like the title stated the handle is redwood lace (it really flows as you look at it sadly the pictures do show the movement )

like before all feedback is welcome as i don't make stuff like this often

That wood!!! Very nice one. Bit big for my taste but definately a super job there. Fit and finish looks flawless. Wish I could see it in person.

That is a great and unique knife, Butch....you can see big influences from Farr and Knight, but the finished product is all you.

This has to be not only the best knife I have seen from you, but one of the best I have seen all year.

The only thing that I would change is if it isn't, the top clip should be SHARP.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

thanks Steven
didnt know about the sharp clip so its far from sharp. next time i ll make the clip sharp

I love it and you should consider making more!! The whole package... Cruforge V, handle, guard, all come together quite nicely. I agree w/STeven that if this is a fighter, the top clip should be sharp for some nice back cuts and added penetration... ;)

That handle looks like it's on fire... :)

Great job!!

I like it.

That's a very special and very nice piece of wood!

Kind regards,

Jos

Very cool knife Butch.
Nice shape and finish with the handle.
I like the shape of the guard and how it pulls everything together.

When you do the next one with a sharpened clip, maybe a textured copper guard.
Not that this one doesn't look great.

I'm on the Butch bus too:thumbup::cool:

i jsut do these odd to me knives as a break form normal to me stuff. i really dont even take orders right now less i want a challange or a break
all of the razors i make go to www.classicshaving.com and i split my kitchen knife output to http://www.chefknivestogo.com and http://sharpandshinyshop.com/

other things i have on my plate are a ying yang razor set in bog oak and ivory and a butterfly knife then back to "normal" stuffs
