Recently, I contacted Reece Weiland about customizing my Emerson CQC 7 turning it into a CQC 6 Super. First time I ever spoke with Reece, wow such a nice easy going guy. I told him what I wanted and no problem, Ill take care of you.
Well lets just say that Im more than impressed. I love EVERYTHING about it. I told him that I wanted a great EDC. He took the stock CQC 7 Super and pimped it beyond my wildest beliefs.
Everything about this pimp job was first class all the way. Love the Black Micarta scales to the blasted bolsters.
The Emerson started off as a black blade, I had Reece refinish the blade and put a zero grind on the knife. Man she is slick!
I love the file work on the spin of the knife. Reece asked me what type of file work I wanted, I said use your imagination. Love it, not over the top and suits the knife well.
The only modification that I made after receiving the knife was to change out the thumb disk. Im in the protection business and carry a .45 acp with a .38 back up. I made a new thumb disk with a piece of .38 brass that I had at the house yesterday. My goal is to do another one with a piece of .45acp brass and put it on this knife. The .38 brass will then go onto the Emerson CQC 7 that Reece is going to be doing to turn it into a CQC 6. Silly I know, but I think its rather cool. The thumb disk isnt perfect, but I love it on the knife. It truly makes the piece mine.
