Reeve Al Mar

I have found what looks to be a Project II listed as a Reeve Al Mar. The knife is serialized out of 200. Was this a special limited production of some kind or is the dealer playing games? I have also found a Reeve Tanto style with a 9” blade. I have not seen a CRK with this design before. Is it something that was produced in limited quantities some time in the past. Any info would be appreciated.

Two/three years ago, we worked on a collaboration with Al Mark Knives where we made 200 each of a distinct model fixed blade in a 4 inch, 5.5 inch and 7.5 inch blade. (You are looking at the 7.5 inch one, I think!)

The design is much like our Sable (straight back edge with an upswept blade) but with a double cross guard, small swedge and a short section of wavy serrations on the cutting edge. Each knife and sheath had both our CR logo and that of Al Mar. The design and execution of the knives was ours, they were distributed exclusively by Al Mar.

We used to make a fixed blade Tanto model in blade lengths of 4, 5.5, 7, and 9 inches. They were discontinued around 1994 when we rationalized our range. In the past year, when we have had a greater demand for the 9 inch models, we have made a few so they are available again.
