Man oh man oh man. Those walking sticks he brought to the show are sooooo awesome. If I had ANY excuse at all to own one of these I would have. I just couldnt come up with a good enough reason to own one while still healthy and young.

Ok man. I NEED details!
What are they made of?
How much?
I have gout in the left foot and a permanent back injury on the left side of my back and I am always looking for that perfect walking stick for times of flare up.

He has them on his web site http://www.chrisreeve.com/index.html
but to see the in person.... they are really something to behold. THe ball on top is titanium and way techy looking but not so much so that it looks silly. He uses wonderful character filled hard wood and from the titanium ball is his signature lanyard. A very classy, dressy looking gentlemans walking stick is how I would describe it. Really screams like a money item. sure it would work well in a pinch as a defensive tool if need be but I would go search for a tree branch before I would get blood on this stick.

The walking sticks are awesome. I would purchase one myself, but, as Alex put it, don't have use for one right now. The titanium ball is actually from a surgical hip replacement assembly. Pretty neat! Chris Reeve must have fielded a bunch of "is there a sword in the handle" questions at the New York Custom Knife Show.

Heh, its good that Chris can laugh a lot. I snuck up on him at this years show as I did last year and asked "is that a sword cane?" He grimaced but smiled at the same time knowing that question was asked for the umphteenth time. Chris was easy to talk to and answered any questions I had. A real nice guy. And yes, I too have no need for a cane presently.

I too had the pleasure of seeing and handling a CRK walking stick, at the Oregon Knife show last spring.
A gentleman next to me was picking up a custom made stick(hardly an appropriate term for this work of art).
It was breath taking. The shaft was of an African wood polished and even, and the head was an engraved titanium ball. This was the most classy accessory I have ever witnessed.
Tuxedo type IMHO, not for boots and jeans.
However, with some training I bet it could bust some heads. Looked and felt very solid and strong.
