Can high temperature refactory Cement be used to reduce or prevent decarb for steels being Austenized at full thickness (3/32-1/8" ) at 1950F for 30mins?

I use stamps from H.Evers on my stainless envelopes :)

Back to seriousness. The only reliable oxygen protection at 1900F+ is total exclusion. You can use a vacuum oven, replace all the oxygen in the oven with argon or nitrogen, or seal the blade in an envelope of stainless HT foil.

Is there a way to modify a evenheat kH414 to argon atmosphere?

I run nitrogen in my oven to prevent scale. It was costly to set up and I had to make sure every little cranny and gap was sealed. But if you wanting to stop decarb then you have to go with argon. Nitrogen works well but when you get I past the 1800-1900 range it does nothing for dcarb.
