Refinish or leave alone?

I recently acquired two older CRK One Piece knives a Shadow I and a Mark IV.

While the finish on the Shadow I is pretty good, the edge is a little bowed inward
from bad sharpening. I could have it sharpened but that might mean it would
have to be refinished.

The Mark IV finish is a little faded but it is a rare one made of D2 steel (confirmed
by Anne).

So refinish them or leave them alone?

The newer finish that CRK put on the OPK was a more solid color if you will, while the older was almost slightly transparent. I have owned 25 CRK OPK and have seen the different variances in the coatings used. I have never had any of my OPK refinished. If they had marks, I left them there. But I do know that CRK does an amazing job with their " spa treatment " as I have had it done to a few sebenzas, so I am quite confident that they would make it look NEW again. Congrats on finding a D2 OPK, quite rare as CRK only went to D2 when they had trouble getting A2 from time to time.

The Shadow I is probably my favorite CRK OPK, its just too big to carry as an EDC, but I definitely love the size of it. I had 2 of them, but sold one. Always on the lookout for another, but am not paying 2 arms and a leg for them.....lol.
