Refinish Scales on Twitch II?

I have used a Twitch II as my EDC knife for about 5 years and the blade has been awesome, however the aluminum scales are really showing some wear. Has anyone in here taken their knife apart and refinished the scale, maybe with something more durable than the factory coating? Please share your ideas and suggestions here! I love the knife and it serves me well, but I sure would like to upgrade a wee bit...

You could spray it, or have someone do it, with Duracoat. Check it out on Nutnfancy's youtube videos, as well as other places. Very durable, lots of colors.
