Hi,

I may be the owner of an EU-17 Magnum and was wondering if Busse would remove the desert coating and scales and put on a jungle finish and green scales.

Thanks so much
Peter

How much would this cost?

They would re-coat it for you but I doubt they would put new scales on it. Call them just to make sure and for pricing> (419)923-6471 By the way, just wondering why you'd want to do that to an already very collectable piece?

Hi,

Thanks for the information and the advice. I may try to get two, put a jungle camouflage finish on one and keep another as a safe queen/investment in orrigonol comdition. Any thoughts?

Thanks
Peter

Peter, here's how you do it. You take it out and beat the snot out of it and wear the finish off, or at least try. When you have done your best to destroy the blade, then you send it back to have it redone. I have never seen the sense in sending it in to have the finish removed when I can do that myself and have all the fun of doing it. :)

Sorry about that. That is what I intended to do in the first place. I just like the look of the Jungle green camo blade finish and green linen micarta scales. I think that would look real mean/good on a 9 inch clip point. What are your thoughts? Any idea on pricing/ or if they will put different handle slabs on would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the information,
Peter

I can advise you that the refinishing services at the shop are dependent on the work load they are currently handling. When they have a ton of stuff going on like getting my Heavy Ordinance Grade Fusion Steel Heart (HINT!!!!:D) out or say a big govt. contract run, they may not accept any blades for refinishing. It is always best to call the shop and ask before making any plans.

Incredible,

What are your thoughts on Jungle green camo on this type of blade?I think it would look great but was wondering what your thoughts are. Also, any ideas of what handle slabs could be attached to really make the thing disappear in the bush.

Thanks for the help,
Peter

thanks for the info, I did not know that.

Exactly, call the shop man. Best source/

419-923-6471, ask for Garth.
