Here's my newest EDC fighter, the "Reflex". About a 5 inch blade with a sweeping belly for slashing, double edge...cause you never know when you'll need it;). The blade is San Mai from 1095 and 416, polished zirconium guard and ivory paper micarta handle. Dad and I designed the sheath for a gentleman in the executive armed security field. The pictures tell the story but I must say that imo it's one of the most solidly functional carry options I've seen...and Dad made it purty;)
Let me know what y'all think. I should have a Reflex with this carry option for BLADE so be sure and check it out.

great knife, i have never seen that kind of sheath, very cool !
Thanks, John. He wanted retention enough so it would stay in upside down and not be flopping around on the belt if he had to run. The bottom overlay creates a track for the belt to lay in and eliminates twist. With the short blade length it won't extend too far below the belt so sitting and riding in vehicles shouldn't be an issue:)

Is it some kind of etching that brings out the extremely beautiful and distinctive hamon?

Oh! It certainly turned out great.

I was wondering how it looked so distinctive.

Thanks, guys. I'm excited about this design and the sheath option. I think I will be doing quite a few of these in the future;)
