Concerning the Schrade Imperial (Prov. R.I.) and (Ireland) knives:
Were they ALL equipped with carbon steel blades, and of "Clamshell" construction, regardless of the pattern?

There was the imperial frontier line that was of a sturdier construction, some being in stainless, and there were the wood handled lockbacks like the backpacker which had stainless blades and carbon lock bars.
I believe the majority of clamshell folders were carbon steel though I think I've seen some of the key blank slipjoints with a stainless knife blade as well as maybe the trick knife.
