Refreshing Experience with CRK

First off, I edited the original to avoid the unnecessary debate on certain marketing ploys to jack up the rarity of an $385 knife's worth. I believe it is a wise move, as suggested kindly by another member's advice and just focusing on an already proven product line.

So....among other makes, I also wanted a CRK, but with double thumb lug. Call CRK this AM, spoke to a real very helpful person, she told me the large Sebenza Insingo will not be ready for another four months, or I can find a knife, ship to them and get the double Thumb Lug done there. Followed her advice, bought the knife from BladeHQ, coordinated and drop ship to CRK for the double thumb lugs. CRK's price of $410 is the same among all their dealers, only picked BladeHQ because it is the first listed on Google. Simple and all without drama!

While I am also a fan of RHK Knives, I must say that you summed up one of the many reasons I have CRK at the top of my list: "simple and all without drama."

Glad you are getting a CRK. They do have wonderful customer service. If you are new here please remember this is a CRK forum and not really the place to talk about other knife makers and how they run their business. I think you will find many on here who like other knife makers and their products.
Make sure you post a picture of your new CRK when you get it.

well played sir, well played. You'll find the CRK quality, fit/finish to be the best around. If you're the type of person who looks for quality in a knife, then you're ruined having acquired the CRK first. Even though there are many good knives out there, the CRK is truly the knife every other one is compared to.

Almost every CRK that I have owned I have ended up having CRK change something at some point. It is just too much fun to feel like you have a different knife when it comes back. :)
 
From what I know Umnumzaan means 'boss', so I guess Large Insingo must mean 'godfather'. That knife is the one that really calls the shots. Love the large Insingo!
 
There customer service is top notch. Unsurpassed by any maker of any thing in any industry. I believe I talked with the same lady as you did today. I started a cs thread this morning.
I really feel they genually want to take care of crk knife owners. It's also refreshing to call a business and actually have a real person answer the phone. Not only that but your problem is resolved quickly and with kindness.
I'm considering going exclusively to crks. Buy a knife and have no worries for a lifetime.....priceless

I've been a CRK knife owner for about 3 years but I had never experienced their customer service until yesterday. I called to ensure that the service from was included with my Umnumzaan as I was worried that the lady at the place I shipped it from might not have included it. The lady who took my call put me on hold and went back to the receiving area to find my package and check that it had arrived with the necessary form. Frankly, I thought this was above and beyond the call of duty as she could easily have said "I'll check on it and get back to you later", which would have been fine by me.

This just confirms what I'd already heard about their customer service.

Received confirmation email from BladeHQ, Insingo is on its way to CRK for double thumb lug.

So far smooth dealings without any hiccup.
 
Nice product and great service from CRK!

After about two weeks total time for the seamless process of ordered from BladeHQ, then drop shipped to CRK for the double thumb lugs. Large Insingo came yesterday without an hiccup!

I do like the double thumb lugs, as I prefer middle fingure flick. Nice toy to play! :)
