Good day. My Seb has the standard tumbled blade and blasted handles. Can these be changed to polished? CRK website lists a reconditioning option for this but it says "depending on the model." I assume that just means the polishing process cannot be applied to damascus blades or handles with inlays or graphics, and that a tumble/blast can be polished. Or does it mean that you need to start with a polished finish to have it re-polished?

Would a refurb polished blade and/or handle affect the resale value?

Got an email from Heather tonight. I'll share for others who might be interested in this option.

Apparently a tumbled blade cannot be polished, nor can a blasted handle. Only a polish can be re-polished... although a polish can be tumbled. And she also wrote that CRK does not offer a plain polished handle at all, only on graphics faces.

Oh well. But I think I've seen a plain polished handle before. Must have been an independent mod.
