When I send a Sebenza to CRK for a refurb, can they completely stonewash its satin-polished blade? I'd prefer a stonewashed blade.

I've never had them do a stonewash on a satin polished blade, but stonewashing is easy and I believe that they can.

To make absolutely sure. . . .drop them an e-mail.

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think that they can put the tumble finish on a polished blade. You could have them fit a new blade (tumbled)and then you would have one of each. But that might set you back about $150.

Johnny, I've got a BG 42 polished that I'd like to have stonewashed. Let me know. It's too shiny/reflective.

I've e-mailed CRK. I'll post their response.

Heather says my large Classic satin-polished blade can be tumbled to a stonewash finish for $23 and says a new stonewashed blade would be $115.

I would lean towards a new finish and not a new blade. Of course, if you're not in a frugal mood. . . . . :D

That is great, for $23, you can get the finish you want. Coolness! Unless you want a new blade.

Would it be correct to assume that they would take it apart, clean everything, stonewash the blade, lube everything as they put it back together then sharpen the blade? All that for $23.00?

Yes, I'm sure they would completely relube, etc. In order to stonewash the blade, they have to take it out (duh) and I don't think they would just reassemble the knife without cleaning/lubing it first.

According to the CRK website. . . .

Polish or retumble blade (depending on the model) and sharpen. . . .$23.00

I've had several knives refurb'd. . . .and I'm not sure if they "clean everything" before stonewashing the blade. I can tell you that when I received the knives back. . . .shear perfection. :D
