refurbing a P Model?

I've got a large P model Sebenza that has the normal scuffs, etc from being carried and used. I suppose the P models have some extra collector value, and as such I'm just wondering if it would be better to leave it as is or send it in for a refurb? Any thoughts?

Send it in. A bead blast, a blade tumble, and sharpening can't hurt and will not affects it's value.

yes I'd say go ahead and send it in. I had it done for one of mine a "p" model.

Well, the Mayo Sebenza gets the pocket time, but it'd be cool to have this one looking new. I think I'll send it in...

The only potential downside to sending in a P Model is that IF it requires them to remove the thumbstud for any of your proposed blade work that it would have to be replaced with a new / non-correct blue anodized thumb stud from the current line. If your blade doesn't require a repolish but simply needs sharpening I would NOT remove the thumb stud unless the blade is in such bad shape that it wouldn't matter anyway as far as collectability. I have several different P Models in my collection and one of them the previous owner tried modifying the stud by taking off the tallest portion of the stud. CRK did not have anymore of the old style studs so I opted to have them clean up the blade without changing the stud versus putting a new style stud on the knife. YMMV :)
