I have an old Camillus long pull stockman (89) that all three blades have been ground on. They are not their original shape or size. Anyone here reprofile blades on these?

Why regrind them? Its a user knife from the looks of it with alot of history. Use and enjoy it!

I gotta agree with that. It looks like a good user wth lots of built in character. I'd just sharpen it up and use as it.

Looks to me like the main blade is the only one needing any work. Just needs the edge leveled out maybe. Should not be a major work over.

I would not do alot to them. The Sheepsfoot might take a little profiling to rebuild that point at the tip, but the other blades just look decently used. A good session on a Lansky or similar would straighten that main blade out.

But of course, that is your preference. Good luck.

if you must, you could try putting some finer grit sandpaper on a flat piece of metal plate or glass, and slowly work the knife to get the angles right. Then get the sand lines by doing it by hand in one direction
