Hence why I put any condition to encourage people to use them and not worry about the scales. That is disappointing. Maybe not many people have a broken Vic.
I have a broken Vic, but it's 83 mm. And to break it, I had to put it through a beverage can crushing machine. I'll bet not many people do that.
I sent my 1967 Vic back to Switzerland back when they would fix anything for free. Free return postage, too, I think.
They did a great job.
Hola, send me your address and I will send it off to you no charge,.Is it too late? What a great offer thought I'd insist on paying postage. I have a 91mm with damaged scales. Can post a pic tomorrow (my camera is broken too!!).
It will look better with a decent set of scales, what model is it?
No problem, they are easy to change just take your time. It's a Climber.
Scales arrived at my sister's today. Again, thank you very much.
And warm up the plastic to increase its plasticity. < 180*FNo problem, they are easy to change just take your time.
I wouldn’t do that myself, that’s not how victorinox do it.And warm up the plastic to increase its plasticity. < 180*F
It’s more important to warm the plastic when you are disassembling than when you are assembling.I wouldn’t do that myself, that’s not how victorinox do it.
