I was selfish today and just messed around with my own gear.

No downside Mist... Just wanted something new and I really like that hemp wrap I do know.

I was just wondering. I have seen no negatives with the Bushlore but the dynamics are a little different with the smaller blade. I really like the feel of the leather handle scales and Sarah has never voiced any complaints.

Selfish bastard indeed! Let me guess - your daughter wants that one :D

What did you do to the finish on the blade? Looks great.

Even though you are a selfish arse..lol

I like the new look alot. How did you get that finish on it?

I like both the before and after...you do some great stuff. To tell the truth though, I prefer the before; those big copper rivets are too cool. :o

I applied a gun bluing solution, allowed it to dry, then soaked it in bleach. It has a random etching effect. The pic is a bit deceiving. The blue highlights in it are a reflection of the sky, I think.

That is a really good idea I like how it turned out. What do you do to the hemp wrap that you put on your knives? It looks great, also looks like it could take a beating.

I use a whipping wrap for the hemp. Then I soak it in West Systems epoxy.

Thanks
Rick
