Refurbished ONTARIO knives on regular sale?

Today I've seen a no-name pilot knife for 18 Euro (23 USD) at a local shop
and noticed that the blade is marked with ONTARIO USA. The blade finish
is not perfect, some small spots are without coating, some spots are painted
over with black paint and one side of the blade has some small indents. The
handle and sheath look like new.

Although it looks exactly like an Ontario SP2 and really seems to be an original
Ontario SP2, it's not sold as an Ontario knife but as a no-name pilot knife, and
it gets delivered in a beige-brown cardboard box marked:
MFH INT. COMP. No.44413

Considering that the Ontario SP2 costs about 60 Euro (75 USD) in Germany,
I'm curious whether the above described knife might be refurbished

The blade is marked with
ONTARIO USA and SPEC PLUS AIR FORCE SP2-95

The knife looks exactly like the Ontario SP2 - Air Force Survival knife.

The sheath looks like the sheath on these photos:

Thanks in advance for all infos you can provide :)

I don't know.

But to hazzard a guess, I noticed that the military has a tendency to sell off used items (even when perfectly good) rather than restock them back into the supply system. These may be such an item.

Some seller may buy them, inspect, and repackage them.

Possability, anyway.

Yeah, you could be right.

I checked the no-name pilot knives marked ONTARIO USA the shop has on stock
and they really look like almost unused or only little used Ontario SP2 knives that
are in even better condition than the item I've described.

As they cost less than 1/3 of the price for a new Ontario SP2 (in Germany)
it's an attractive offer for this Ontario Spec Plus Air Force Survival Knife.
