Hey everybody,

I'm new here, but I've been looking around for a bit and haven't found all that much about the Spyderco Volpe. From what I've seen and read, I'm very interested in it. Basically it seems like a keeper, but I was hoping some of you guys who have it could give me some first-hand impressions.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks!

I already saw the Volpe and Captain passaround, but I'm pretty sure I hadn't found the other two. Good stuff to know.

Looks like my only remaining question is how I could best go about picking one of these up without spending too much money, seeing as they are discontinued.

I would really appreciate any suggestions!

Start with posting in Knives: Wanted to Buy.
Check the sales and trade forums. (Lots of luck -- I don't think I've ever seen one up for grabs there.)
Check eBay, etc. Do a Google search and you may find a dealer with them.

For a long time Volpe was on my "may be to buy list", so when prices dropped I bought my first. I was stunned by it's beauty, even the best pictures don't do full justice to Volpe, you have to hold it in your hand. Fit and finish probably the best out of quite a few fine Spydercos I own. 3.5" FFG blade is great. After that I bought a few (probably too many), gifted one to a friend, who carries it on dress-up occasions and love it. I heard Spyderco is planning to make smaller knife with Fox, cannot wait to see proto.
