Is anyone aware of regional blade thicknesses?
Would there be a different thickness in a knife from the jungle Terri
region as opposed to the central or Mustang region?
It seems there would be differences in the weight or thickness because of the different climatic zones of Nepal.
Would the length vary also or would the differences be more traditional or tribal?

In my opinion it would not matter as much for the region as for the intended use of the khuk for example a blade used to cut brish or vine would be longer and lighter than one used for splitting firewood.

of course I've been known to be wrong..

:
Con I believe that's one of the reason's that H.I. has as many styles of khukuris as it does.
The Rai and Limbu tribal people prefer the sirupati IIRC.
And other styles of khukuris are prefered elsewhere.
Uncle Bill can give more detail which I'm sure he will when he gets back online.
The Dhankuta is also an area khukuri again IIRC.:D
And you're exactly right in the reasons why different khukuris are preffered for different areas.
What will cut material like the Hill Walnut and Nepali Oak wouldn't be as efficient on the softer lighter materials and vicey versa.:D

To answer your question,

#1) yes

#2) yes

#3) yes

#4) yes

#5) yes

etc., etc., etc.

I am not sure what might be carried in Tibet these days due to Chinese control but most of the Tibetans I saw in Nepal carried the Thee around thier neck rather than a khukuri.
