My first Blade Show was a Saturday drive over from Birmingham, I think it was 2001.

2002 and 2003 I was tied up with Kim in a nursing home and then convalescing at home.

2004 was my first full Blade Show, complete with Kim and I being inducted in the second class, and Kim as the second ever Hoggette.

I have not missed one since, going to the last eleven, but I won't be making this one. Not yet accurately diagnosed back and leg issues make it simply too painful.
Heck, I'm no good at the trough anymore, anyhow.

But I have not yet attended my last, I swear. Ya'll have fun, and remember that fun is what this whole thing is supposed to be.
 
Im sorry to hear that.
I know that's rough for a seasoned hog like yourself.
And moreso good luck with your leg and back. Get well soon.

And for all you new piglets joining the trough, you can't fathom the wingspan of this man. You never stood behind Mike.....it was slim pickin's :eek:

Lol.....wow. I can imagine.
Think Ill get Tommy Burleson to come with me 😄
For those that dont go that far back, Tommy played for NC State when they won the National Championship with David Thompson. He also played on the US Olympic Team and several seasons in the NBA with the Hawks and Super Sonics. In his prime he was 7'4". I think hes prolly a little shorter than that now.....but plenty tall enough 😎.....
 
Sorry to hear that. If you do decide to go for a day or two of the show and need anything let us know. We will be there early Saturday morning and have a pick up with us.
 
Mike, I will miss you, but I understand, you are plain good people, will miss talking to you and that "wingspan" you have given me cards you caught!!
