"Regretted Missing" List?

Anyone hate that you missed out on something that seemingly isn't available anymore?

I'm still finding out about cool Spydies from a few months ago or even years ago that I missed out on (and it's not a good feeling).

What are some of the missed Spydies (Sprint or otherwise) that you missed out on?

Here's my list:

CF Dragonfly (sort of - I love the CF, but am not a fan of a serrated knife in that size)
Baby Blue Stretch

Orange Manix II (sort of - I really like my CTS-XHP M2 and with the Orange Para-2, I kind of get the best of both worlds)
CF Para-2 (still have the option of buying one, but man it's expensive)

Lime Green Jester
Orange Ladybug
(mostly because a google search led to this pic)

I would love to know if Spyderco had any plans of bring back anything in Lime Green or Baby Blue (I don't even mind the Toxic Green so much, but I'd rather have it with bare hardware/blade instead of the all black).

I kind of wish I could have gotten a Salsa or maybe one of the Mule Team projects, but they're fairly plentiful on the secondary market.

I don't know - anyone else got any regrets. Sometimes you gotta pull that trigger quickly or they're gone.

Wish I wouldn't have sold my Scorpius -- hands down, this is one of my biggest knife "regrets". I can't believe I let it slip through my fingers! I really feel like the Scorpius would be better received today, and might have a chance at a longer run should it be revived. :(

Also wish I got in on the blue Dodo when it was first released. I wanted one but got distracted with other stuff and never revisited it until it was too late. I'm on the preorder list for an orange one, but I miss the blue. And like you, I missed the lime green Jester.

Well, you can still get an orange ladybug in H1 steel here: http://countycomm.com/ladybugorange.html

I do regret not getting several lime green jesters. I guess I always thought there would be more lime green offerings up to this point. I'm still holding out for Sal to make a lime green Dragonfly or Squeak for me. Also, I don't really count the USN offerings and I sincerely hope USN has not cornered the lime green color. Anyway, I'm digressing a little.

As for the Scorpius, I had one and I sold it. I don't regret it though, because stainless handles and I don't get along. I agree it could make a comeback today, but not with stainless handles. G-10 or some other material would definitely catch interest.

A big regret was not purchasing a blue Lum when I had the opportunity and how I let all the Chinooks go???

That would be awesome - also an Orange FRN or G10 Dragonfly.

Thanks for the link to that Orange Ladybug - I didn't know CC was still selling them. This thread is actually educating me on some of the various knives I had no idea ever existed.

Big fan of ethnic designs here (especially Persian style blades, but love everything that looks a bit unusual...). There is only one knife I regret not having purchased: the Kris.

My biggest regret is not pre-ordering the the M390 CF Military. It would have been my first Military.

The Red RAM, Orange OD-1 and the Titanium mini Cyclone from Kershaw. Even the base models are discontinued now...

I'm already regretting not jumping on the orange Para 2. I didn't have the money right then and every time I looked at it after that the price went higher and higher...

I'm still really new to the knife hobby/addiction, and really wish I'd been around for the Kopa releases. I've been able to pick up a beautiful example in giraffe bone, but there are so many others that I would love to own. They are great little gentleman's folders.

Side note: I thought at first that I'd just buy a few small folders for EDC'ing, but couldn't stop myself this week from purchasing both a Delica 4 and a CF Sage. Now I'm looking at the Gayle Bradley. Argh! Curse this forum and it's enabling ways! :D

My biggest miss was a s90v para 2. I am also currently kicking myself because I sold the gray para 2 I had and now I want it back.

I got involved with Spyderco (and quality knives in general) this past May and missed some great Sprints, but the one that still gets to me the most is the Para 2 S90V...really wish I had been around for that one.

I just found Spyderco's Wiki Page... wow, my list is growing.

Is there a page with every model of Spyderco made (including dealer exclusives, Sprints, and regular production models)?

I am kicking myself in the teeth with each passing day for missing out on most of the Manix 2 sprints, especially the Blue and Orange G-10 models.

I wish i had been around for the original Persian series. I would love a mini Persian. I really wish they would have introduced a mini version when they did the red sprint run. I'm not a fan of the new g10 versions. I also love the original Kiwi's.

I had a blue Manix and later sold it. Though I didn't actually "miss" the release of that one, I would like to go back in time and buy it again. And keep it this time.

I didn't show any serious interest in knives until the following blades were long gone (at reasonable prices):

G10 Delica and Endura
ATR
20CP PM2 sprint
(Earlier) Mule Team releases
