So I have this Buck?Strider Tanto I can't seem to trade out of so I was thinking of contacting Tom Krein to regrind the blade. What do you think? I know it pretty much take all the collector want out of the knife but maybe it will be usable? It has a super thick blade and when I got it the original edge was horrible and it came back from buck with about 3 different bevels on the edge and still a sharp as my high school students. So what do you guys think. This may or may not be the right place to post this but heck I figured I would give it a shot. Thanks in advance for all advice. Merry Christmas

That sounds like a fine idea. If you want this knife to be a user, then do what it takes to make it useful for your needs. Tom can keep the tanto point or change it to something else if that suits you better.

Bill that's pretty much what I was thinking. Just have to talk myself into it now.

If you like the deign then that sounds like a way to make it more useful. I think if I was going to pay to have it done I would send a knife that I like and know I would use.

I guess you're right. Well when it come back from the BF member I traded with who didn't like it I will just post it back in the trade forum. I do have a Delica, its my favorite EDC design, I may send out. I looked over a few posts and saw where he can remove serrations and it is a combo blade I traded for. I may have him take them out and go full flat at least as far as he can go to the spydie hole. Any idea what his charges look like? I remember seeing that removing serrations were definitely extra, but I can't remember seeing what the initial charge would be.
