Hello ladies and germs.
I thought I'd share some pics of a knife I reground tonight. A Kershaw OD-2.
This is actually my buddy Johns (Cave Johnson here on BF) knife. HE has had it for a while now and asked if I could give it a bit of a clean up. Well one thing led to another and I ended up regrinding it for him. Here are some pics.
Before I touched it with the grinder. A stock OD-2
After a bit of relaxing grinding, here's the progress (Sorry about the crappy lighting)
Almost done! You can see the little bit of bead blasted hollow grind that's left.
Me doing mah thing
And the finished product.
I think it came out rather nice. I learn a bit more every regrind I do and it's really a fun project as long as you don't screw something up.
8cr13mov is extremely easy to grind. The whole regrind took me all of about 15-20 minutes to do. It took me over an hour to do a DPx Hest folder and I'm still not finished.
Anyway. I hope you enjoyed the thread somewhat. I definitely encourage anyone who's thinking about regrinding their knives to do it. It's really relaxing way to make a knife your own.
