Regrinds. Is Tom doing them these days, or who if not him.

I've heard mixed talk on whether Tom Krein is doing regrinds at this point. Ideally, I'd like to go through him, as he's done work for me in the past, and I feel what he charges is a great deal. Can anyone confirm if he still offers this service?
If he no longer does, who would be the next best option for a top of the line job. -Thanks.

-I intend to call Tom tomorrow, assuming he still uses the same number.

The shop number is 479-233-0508

Tom announced last year that he was stopping doing the regrinds because they were taking up too much of his time. He will still do the occasional regrind on spec (buys some knives, regrinds them, and then sells them) but he hasn't been taking in orders or accepting knives for regrinds. At the time of his announcement, he implied this was temporary but nothing has changed in over a year.

Not sure if you are a USN member, but if you are go to the "Pimp My Knife" section.

Start a thread titled something like" Who does regrinds?"

You'll get quite a few options I guarantee.

I actually spoke to Tom via email. New rate is $45 plus $10 shipping. M390 is an additional $10, as are some other steels.

Iused to be on the USN, but my email provider gto switched and I can no longer log in/register with a free email account.

I heard Brad Southard does great regrinds. I grabbed this pic of one of his.

I just got a couple done by Tom last week,so yeah he's doing them.

Nick Rossi also does a lot of regrinds. I don't know how to contact him other than over facebook though as he doesn't have a central website.

Tom started regrinding services in October. He did excellent job job on my Navaja. I love this knife now.

I've got to say, dealing with Tom is a total pleasure. A true master of his craft and a great guy in general. Richard-J is also a fine gentleman as well.
Sure looks like Brad Southard knows what he's doing too.
