so i took my cheap $10 2 sided sharpening stone, and i ground downt he edges to 30 degrees. the bevels before were so wide my sharpmaker couldnt sharpen them. now my saks and my 3 bladed carbon steel schrade are like effing razors. man i love playing with knives and their equipment.
 
ya that is what i just did. i ground the shoulders really thin and put a micro bevel on it. cuts like a demon for the most part. im cutting free hanging paper no problem now.
