So what was the motivation of changing the regulars blade shape to a pointier shape of the 21? I love my 21 but I know a lot of us would love a drop point sebenza. Really wish we could get a option of blade shape. I know this has been mentioned many times but I don't recall reading why

Chris is always changing and innovating. If you remember way back when, the H Sebenza, P Sebenza, Original Sebenza and Regular Sebenza all had the same blade shape, though with different finishes over those years. When the 21 came out, it was a different shape in a new direction. Now we have Insingo and Tanto as regular production, that was not the case back then, though there were regulars N.I.C.A. that had tanto blades.

I too love the regular blade shape and much prefer it over the 21. But just as the OPK came to an end, so did the older blade shape most of us loved. I am just glad CRK is still cranking out the knives we all know and love. With the 25, to me at least, its almost a hybrid of the regular and 21 blade shapes, all combined into one.

In the end though, its the Large Regular Sebenza that does it for me.

According to what many users prefer ( regulars, classics) It seems as though the progress and evolution of the design has gone backwards not forward.

Well....You would probably conclude the same thing about the steel also. A lot of people covet the BG-42, and when the switch from S30 to S35Vn happened, I thought some guys were going to cry themselves to dehydration.

I think there is a certain fondness for what is no longer mainstream going on. Nothing against past designs or steels, but I think Chris has a way he does things, and backwards would not have earned and maintained his status in the global knife industry;)

I too really wish they would have still kept the regulars. I have been looking for awhile but its hard to find one for less than about 800 bucks, which I cant afford right now!

I disagree. I like the direction CRK is going in. We gotta remember they are a small shop and cannot continue to make every model they made over the last 30 years. No company does that.

Huh. Some interesting comments. I wouldn't say there going backwards either. To me there still the best pocket knives out there. And I love how we can buy them unlike some other makers who limit there sales to only certain groups and force us to buy them second hand at double or more the price.

I hear Ya, that's why I only have 1 from that company. Great company and product though, just their policy is frustrating. CRK is where it's at for me and why I have sold off nearly all others to support them and buy even more...!!!!
