There is a regular sebenza for sale on evilbay right now, but the birthday card clearly says classic 2000 but the knife appears to be a small regular sebenza. could someone check this out for me, I have emailed the seller to ask but got no response.

...in various stages in regard to time left, etc. and in varied conditions (all appear in good used condition).

If you type "sebenza" in your main search box under all categories, you'll turn up all three small regulars. If you type "chris reeve sebenza," you'll turn up those and more, though the others will be primarily mint-condition cgg's in both regular and classic/21 profiles offered by online retailers.

Either way, they're out there. I wouldn't worry about what the birthday card says on a Seb you're going to use, if you can ascertain plainly enough from the pictures that it is in fact a regular seb (which should be easy enough to do).

I think I know what you are referring to and the seller has a fairly poor rating. Be careful. You'll usually get what you pay for.

that sebenza has been for sale for quite some time now and i think that's why its still there... i saw it a long time ago and wondered about the same thing.
 
It has been listed since January, the guy claims to hang here in his bio, it has had 50 offers and he rejects everyone of them. Seller had a real good rating until about 3 months ago and then it just started going down hill. One other thing the birthday card says classic 2000 and the knife is obviously a small regular. I have NEVER seen a birthday card that did not properly identify the knife, and I've looked at a lot of sebenza for sale ads, A LOT.

I emailed the guy twice and the reported the whole thing to ebays fraud division their supposed to be checking into it, hopefully they can remove the post before someone else gets burned. I also wanted to post here so people could be alerted to the situation and stay away. The seller also has lots of other knives up so I hope no one else gets blistered apparently he has already cracked several people pretty hard.
 
Yeah that seller is on the verge of being kicked off ebay at the rate he is going. I'd say buyer beware on that one if its that 91% positive feed back guy. Lots of negatives in the last few ticks thats for sure. More than I'd want to mess with Mike.

Well, scratch that. That guy has picked up more negative comments since I looked at it just a few days ago. He is at 89% positive now. Not good IMO.

If it's the one that I was just looking at on Ebay, I would stay the hell away from him. He has numerous rating listings of NOT SENDING THE KNIVES, once it's been paid for. No way no how would I buy from this dude.
 
Yep checked that listing out a few days ago and wondered the same thing with the knife and card being different and of course I investigated further to find that he has fallen off of eBay leaving many unhappy bidders/buyers.

One feedback comment mentioned him having health issues and perhaps a reason for absence. Either way I wouldn't want to deal with it.
 
Yea, it is off the radar completely. I just wanted to alert others here. I saw the post about health issues as well but he sure has the health to keep re-listing knives and adding new ones, also his alleged poor health doesn't explain the Birthday Card issue. Again, I have never seen that before, EVER.
 
Just read the guy's feed-backs, He is a total turd. He has screwed everybody.
I can't believe Ebay hasn't thrown him off. I wouldn't buy that small sebenza for $100.00 because you'll never see it. He relist's the same things over & over never ships & keeps the money. I would like to give him a real health issue.
