I am wanting to purchase a large sebenza, and after reading the many posts on classic vs. regular, am about to go crazy! Unfortunately there are no local shops (northern NM) where I can try both.

My hands are at the lower end of medium-size.

Help appreciated!

I have grown to prefer the regular, I find it more comfortable and like the extra bit of belly on the blade. If you want a more acute point CRK offers a swedge on the blade as an option.

Oh Merlin

Your heart's in the right place, but it a pointless question

why, I'll tell you why, my good man.....

You can buy either one, and good luck to you. But you'll have to know what the other is like. You'll wonder every day. This is our burden, friends :D

For what it's worth....I prefer the Classic, but, the regular LE woodies are the holy grail for me. There, even I'm away again

I am in the same boat. I have owned two large classics (one with a single blue stud and one with dual silver studs) and now am wanting to try a large regular. I chose the classic mostly based on looks as compared to the regulars and now I want to go strictly based on function. I am speculating that the regular has a slightly better grip (like with wet/bloody/oily hands) and a slightly stronger tip. I may be right, I may be wrong. Either way I will know soon enough I suppose.

I had a Small Classic, and really wanted a Large Classic, but honestly I was impatient and went with a Large Regular since the large Classics were on backorder at the time.

At first i regretted it, being so used to the ergos of the Classic, and had even arranged a trade with CRK, but after a couple of weeks of carrying the Regular, I can't part with it.

It really grew on me.

Would I choose the Large Regular over the Classic?
Nah, I'd have to say I like both just the same.

Merlin,
I may have answered this on another site. I too have the lower end of medium in hand size. I like the feel of the regular better-in both the large and small size. The small classic felt OK with the wood inlay, probably just filled my hand better. FYI, this guy in Oklahoma City usually has quite a few sebebenzas in stock. I have no personal ties to him but he is honest and I have purchased several knives from him. He DOES run a knife shop, he isn't a backroom dealer. KNIVES AND MORE 405 949-5400 Ken Andrews.

Good Luck and enjoy your knife.
