Regular w. swedge questions

A friend of mine got a large S30V Regular from 2005 and it has a swedge. It is mint and came with box and all paperwork. But the birthcard does not mention the swedge. He got it from a heritage. So no chance to ask the previous owner. Do you think that the swedge was always mentioned at the bc? Does the fact that is not mentioned at the bc indicate, that the swedge was added later to the blade? Some clarification is appreciated. Thanks.

Not positive, but I think you could add a swedge at one time, which would not be reflected on the card.

If CRK added the swedge later on in life it wouldn't be reflected on the birthcard, unless you specifically requested an "updated" birthcard which would list the current date that the work was done, and it would be written as a "reissued" card.

If the swedge was done at the factory it would say swedge on the card.

I ordered my 'other' Lg. Reg. BG42 with some options and they're all listed on the card: Double thumb lugs, Swedge, Beadblasted screws.
