Ryan they came shaped and all I had to do was knock off some of the wood with a hand plane and then sand to fit then stain. Then top finish of your choice
i used 3coats of dark walnut and a waxed and hand rubbed finish

That Curly Maple is very sweet - I am looking for some of Barr's damascus - do you do the actual haft work for other BF members, or were these personal works...???

Thanks!

great job Joe:thumbup:

Joe, I can tell the hawk bug has bitten you. Glad to see you doing some work on them and enjoying it! I can see you making one from scratch in not not to distant future. I can put my crystal ball away now........
